Naked Eyes believes that the true expression of jewelry is antithetical to modern means of business and mass production. Something so personal, worn so often and so close, must be made with the passion and creativity that only an artisan can provide.
We offer our jewelry in brass, sterling silver, or 14k gold in order to utilize the different traits of each metal.
Brass is an alloy of copper and tin valued for its gold like appearance and workable yet durable nature. It polishes to a rich yellow sheen and will patina beautifully with wear.
Sterling silver is created by alloying a small amount of copper with pure silver. This results in an alloy that is much stronger than pure silver while preserving the appearance and workability of the precious metal. Sterling holds its brilliant white sheen well and can develop a subtle patina over time.
Just like pure silver, pure gold is far too soft to create durable jewelry. 14k gold is created by alloying gold with a mixture of silver and copper to create a strong metal with brilliant luster that resists tarnish.
We utilize techniques developed by old master craftsmen that have been largely abandoned because of their labor intensive nature. But hey, nothing worth doing is ever easy. We create all our jewelry one at a time, by hand, for each customer. This ensures that you will receive quality goods that are unique in design and highly limited in quantity. Because your jewelry is made to order, please allow 2 to 4 weeks for completion.
Don't like wearing things that don't fit? We don't either. That's why we make your order to your size. Size rings for any finger or as a midi if you like.
All Naked Eyes jewelry comes in our signature handmade leather boxes. We make each box out of vegetable tanned leather and use natural dyes and finishes. The product is more a home for your jewelry than a package for it.
Naked Eyes is the dream of Emily Hill and Alex Klaes. It is the collaboration of different skill sets. The outcome of masculine and feminine energies. If you want something done right, do it yourself. If you want something done better than you could have ever imagined, do it with someone else.
